Tailwheel ferry pilot Herb Lingl, a San Francisco Bay Area based commercial pilot, specializes in ferrying tailwheel aircraft worldwide. Herb's attention to planning details before each mission and his extensive network of aviation contacts help to ensure that each aircraft ferry assignment is completed on time and on budget. Herb Lingl founded TailwheelFerryPilots.com after he accepted an assignment to ferry a Stearman, PT-13B, from the Flying V Airport (T26) in Louis, Texas outside of Houston to Lampson Field (1O2) in Lakeport, California in 2006.

Since then, Herb's ferry assignments have included ferrying a Citabria, 7GCAA, from Princeton Airport (39N) in Princeton/Rocky Hill, New Jersey to Marcos Gelabert International Airport (MPMG) in Panama City, Panama, and an EAA Biplane, from Gundy's Airport (O38) in Owasso, Oklahoma near Tulsa to the New Garden Airport (N57) in Toughkenaon, Pennsylvania near Philadelphia.

Over the years, Herb has developed a network of accomplished aviation professionals to ferry aircraft from anywhere in the world to any destination, and when requested to provide other aircraft buyer or seller assistance services. When necessary, Herb will obtain foreign certificates or endorsements and any other necessary permissions to ferry foreign registered aircraft. Because of extensive flying experience outside of the United States, we can add particular value to assignments that require delivery to or from countries outside the United States. Since we're passionate about tailwheel aircraft, the name of the firm remains TailwheelFerryPilots.com even though we accept assignments to ferry other aircraft, including seaplanes.
